Project
Bike Friends Salzburg is a registered cycling club and has about 115 members, who have a passion for mountain biking and road biking. An online shop was created to make ordering equipment (team jerseys, bottles, ...) as easy as possible.
Problem: Manufacturer of the items only produces when a required quantity is reached.
Solution: The members' orders are stored in the background and when the required quantity is reached, the club chairman receives a list of the ordered items by e-mail. After that the club chairman is responsible for the order processing and has to send the order list to the manufacturer.
So from the members' point of view the application is an online shop and from the club chairman's point of view it is an organization tool.
A few examples of features that have been implemented:
- products can be added or edited
- manufacturers can be added or edited
- collective orders can be closed for further orders
- invoices or orders are available as PDF download
- overview of invoices with possibility to mark as paid
- order process: select article, put in shopping cart, order
- search and filter options
This project was created together with my colleague Juliane Mohr during our MultiMediaTechnology course (3rd semester) at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg.
